App & Installation

How do I install AquaLog on my phone's home screen?

You can install AquaLog as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for native performance and offline access.

iOS (Safari)

  1. 1. Open Safari and go to AquaLog.
  2. 2. Tap the ‘Share’ icon (square with arrow).
  3. 3. Scroll and tap ‘Add to Home Screen’.
  4. 4. Confirm by tapping ‘Add’.

Android (Chrome)

  1. 1. Open Chrome and go to AquaLog.
  2. 2. Tap the three-dot menu icon.
  3. 3. Tap ‘Install app’ or ‘Add to Home screen’.
  4. 4. Confirm the installation.

I saw a 'Server Error' when launching the app. What should I do?

The Fix: Close the app completely and relaunch it. This is a known intermittent issue with PWA cold-starts that has been significantly reduced in version 1.4.3.

General Safety

Who should avoid cold water swimming?

Individuals with heart problems, untreated high blood pressure, or asthma should avoid cold water swimming. Consult a doctor for any pre-existing conditions.

Enter slowly. Give your body time to adjust to the temperature and control your breathing.

What are the warning signs to leave?

Exit immediately if you feel unwell, experience cramps, or stop feeling the cold.

How long can I stay in the water?

Listen to your body. Exit as soon as you feel uncomfortable or notice first signs of hypothermia.

What are the signs of hypothermia?

Uncontrollable shivering, confusion, fatigue, and loss of coordination.

Is there a rule of thumb?

A common benchmark is: never swim for more minutes than the water temperature in degrees Celsius (e.g., 6°C = 6 minutes max).
